「結びとどめよしたがひのつま」について The meaning of “musubi-todomeyo shitagahi no tsuma” 藤河家, 利昭 フジコウゲ, トシアキ Fujikouge, Toshiaki 源氏物語 葵巻 結びとどめよしたがひのつま application/pdf “WAKA”, the poem, by the spirit of Rokujyo no Miyasudokoro in the Aoi chapter means that she not only pleads to bind her spirit to “shitagahi no tsuma”(The kimono hem), but also call Genji as “tsuma”(husband). Considering poems in The tale of Genji, she just pleads directly with “shitagahi no tsuma”. This poem shows Rokujyo no Miyasudokoro’s consistent love for Genji and her desire for being his wedded wife. Genji, however, felt annoying when he found out she was the identity of the spirit, and a real distance between them was glowing. On the one hand, “Chougonka”, “Chougonden” and “Rikonki” in the Tou Period depict the stories of consistent love in the soul’s world, which is different from the tale of Genji. In particular, as “Chougonka” is excerpted in the Aoi chapter, which means that the author depicted the spirit in the real world, different from that of “Chougonka”.
