The purpose of this study is to clarify quantitatively the effects of the mechanical properties of fabrics on the silhouettes of draped skirts. In order to study the factors influencing the aesthetic appearance of draped skirts, we used visual sensory tests to investigate the evaluation value of draped skirts made of several kinds of fabrics with different mechanical properties. The results of factor analysis with the evaluation values obtained by the sensory tests reveales three factors about the impression formation of draped skirts.
