内容記述 | Many people have become accustomed to hearing the term sustainable development goals (SDGs). Although there has been an increasing trend in eco-conscious behavior in the purchase to disposal of clothing, the emergence of fast fashion and the resultant lowering of clothing prices have changed people’s awareness and perception. Therefore, this study conducted a questionnaire survey on environmental/eco-conscious behavior among men and women of a variety of age groups, as well as their reactions to visual information presented in environment-related posters. An analysis of the questionnaire survey results revealed that the majority of the participants had ideas conforming to common sense and behaved in manners adapted to social norms. However, there was a tendency among men in their early 20s to prioritize their own desires over moral values. While participants with low eco-consciousness recognized a degree of effectiveness in almost all of the posters, those with high eco-consciousness recognized effectiveness in only posters that presented striking impressions or a sense of danger, which however are often considered unsuitable for public spaces. In summary, the results suggested that no environment poster can be pleasant to the public and simultaneously be effective at raising environmental consciousness. |
