内容記述 | 'Spirituality' has been somewhat misunderstood as a 'non-scientific' method, influenced by what is generally known as the spiritual boom, which gained prominence in Japan during the mid-₂₀₀₀s in Japan. Such an approach has now become recognized as a part of a popular culture. It was thought that originally 'spirituality should not be scientific or just limited to religious matters, but an exploration of something that is at the center of our very being. Therefore, spiritual pain is something which is felt by us all. In Japan, spiritual pain has been recognized and legitimized in the field of palliative care. Theories have developed, but particularly that developed by Hisayuki Murata is widely supported. Despite this, Murata's work has not been fully utilized, particularly by those who explore the spiritual pain of children who do not suffer from illnesses. This article explores how/if children who are abused, suffer spiritual pain. The research framework for this study is based on Murata's theory. Findings suggest that it is possible that such children do in fact suffer a degree of spiritual issues. |
