| 内容記述 | In this paper I describe the renewel design and the process of re-construction of kyomachiya, a traditional and characteristic type of Japanese house. As this house is about 100 years old or so, these are so many crackes and flaws in pillars and beams. Therefore new structural members are partially or entirely added to renew the house. The traditional framework having been kept as it is, several modern systems are taken in the house. Especially two types of earthquale-control system are introduced into the walls to reduce the earthquake energy and to make adequate balance for the house. | |||||||||||
