| 内容記述 | Taste and smell dysfunction in patients receiving chemotherapy have a negative impact on quality of life and nutrition. However, the prevalence of taste and smell dysfunction may be underestimated, as it is difficult to assess the true prevalence of such disorders because of the complexities of the chemosensory system. Therefore, we tried to collect the data base of healthy subjects for influence on taste and smell function. The subjects were 65 young women, who are students in Hiroshima Jogakuin University. In order to investigate relations of taste and olfactory, we adopted the whole mouth method gustatory test. First we tested gustatory threshold without adding on to the smell. Next we tested gustatory threshold adding on to the smell. At the same time, we carried out their physical assessments. Conclusions, the gustatory threshold did not change, even if we got a sniff of certain smell. In the relations of the gustatory threshold and physical assessments, the gustatory threshold was associated with diastolic blood pressure, mean blood pressure, mood and quantity of salivary secretion, but that was not associated with temperature, oxygen saturation, pulse rate, allergy relating to food and olfactory and menstruation. |
